Hello guys, it would be amazing if we could schedule our own update window for the roaming agent update to prevent it rolling out in middle of a work day for our client.

Summary
Add a console option for admins to push the latest Roaming Client version to specific devices on demand, outside the staggered auto-update rollout.
Problem
Agent updates reach devices only through the staggered auto-update rollout. When a specific machine has an issue that a newer agent version fixes, admins can’t get the fix onto that device quickly. They have to wait for it to come up in the stagger, or reinstall manually through their RMM or by hand.
Who’s Affected
Admins and IT teams managing Roaming Client fleets, especially those troubleshooting individual devices or waiting on a fix in a newly released version.
Impact & Context
Devices with known issues stay affected longer than necessary, which drives repeat tickets and end-user disruption.
Manual reinstalls to get a newer version add work and risk, especially at scale or for remote users.
This matters most during active rollouts, like the current Windows RC rollout, when customers know a fix exists but can’t apply it to the devices that need it.
Desired Outcome
A console action to update selected Roaming Clients to the latest available version immediately, from the Roaming Clients list or an individual device view.
Support for bulk selection: multiple devices, a collection, or a site.
Visibility into update status after the push (pending, succeeded, failed).
The existing staggered auto-update stays the default, so this works as a targeted override.

While our organization is on auto-update, there may be scenarios where we want specific machines to update at specific times (ex: apply bug fix) rather than waiting for the automated deployment. I would like an option that's available on a per agent basis to trigger an agent upgrade on-demand.

It would be nice to disable/enable RC updates Globally as well as keeping individual toggle for Customer level

Yeah, this is a great suggestion. My clients gets frustrated with internet/network drops in General. Do not want to give them another reason to complain:-P

That is a great suggestion Martin Beucher. I'll add it to my list to investigate. You can already enable/disable roaming client updates via the Roaming Client settings tab in the dashboard (probably the API too, but I'll have to verify that) but I see how set-it and forget-it is optimal for this use case. Thanks for your feedback.
