Synchronize Okta Connect users (SCIM)
Carl Levine
Similar to how AD is integrated, figure out a way to import groups/users from Okta Connect
Brian Zick
SCIM for syncing over users and groups from Entra ID would be great to have. It's pretty discouraging to see that the supported method for syncing from "Azure AD" is to use a local binary.

Brian Zick: Thanks for reaching out! A sync for Entra is in beta testing right now, so on the way—you can vote for the post here and you'll then be notified when the tool goes GA 🎉
Brian Zick
Minetta Gould oh that's great news, thank you!

Brian Zick: Let me know if you'd like to test in the beta group—we can set your account up with early access!
Brian Zick
Minetta Gould We're definitely interested, I'd like to learn a bit more about it and the beta process before committing. Maybe we have a quick call unless you have a one pager or similar?

Brian Zick I connected with your Account Manager, Justin Sapp, to reach out with some details—he'll be able to setup a call if you want to join, so keep an eye out for his email 💖

Having the ability to sync with Okta to more easily manage our users and their devices in DNSFilter would be very beneficial for us. We're looking to find a way to more easily populate collections with devices based on specific roles and departments (which live in Okta) and right now we have to rely entirely on our own automations outside of DNSFilter to make this happen.

JumpCloud also with this would be nice. They have SCIM and LDAP. DNSfilter makes a mess out of users in collections unless you have active directory.

An Azure AD Connection would be useful as well!

SCIM provisioning from Okta, using an LDAP compliant directory (like Okta has as well) are both feasible options. 1 Password also has a provisioning feature (Small VM you can self host in cloud) that doesn’t perform any auth, just adds users to their platform.

This would be a great way of tying in to multiple directory services from one location. We use Okta with multiple Directory sources and as a result have groups in Okta that are not within AD. Being able to apply filtering policies to those groups and users would be a huge benefit!
