Block Response based on geo location of destination IP

Definitely would love to see this feature added.

I would agree if you had country blocks this would be a more complete solution.
Steve Staden
chad Pence: Appreciate the feedback. Just to be clear, when you say country blocks you mean for IP addresses? Just wanted to be clear because some have asked for easier way to select country TLDs to block.

Steve Staden The reason I am bring this to you is that when our company issued laptops leave the network there is nothting keeping them going to sites in countries we don't want employees accessing. I know FlashStart has this feature and I was hoping this would be on the radar for DNS Filter. Helps keep our security posture on or off the Network. In FlashStart it is an actual Geo Block you pick Russia or China and it blocks those countries.

Hello is there a date on the updated release?
Steve Staden
Curtis Merck: No date yet. We're focused on delivering URL Filtering first - https://dnsfilter.canny.io/feature-requests/p/transparent-url-filtering.

I'm changing this back to under review. We are focusing on the Transparent URL Filtering first and this will be coming up after that release. Just want to be transparent with voters.

Steve Staden: Great news! This is a must to have for us.

Attn Developer Team ! this is a most wanted request that seems to have been ignored since there is a inaccurate and time consuming workaround its almost Six Years since it was requested Lets get Going Please!!! nothing less then a beautiful interface where we can search and choose which countries we would like to allow or block
Steve Staden
Nachman Weiss: Thank you for being a loyal DNSFilter customer, we appreciate it. I agree, this is definitely a top request and I'm changing the status as we're looking at adding this capability later this year, early next year. We're definitely thinking along the same lines in terms of interface. I'll reach out to you, would love to get some more time to discuss. Right now the team is heavily focused on URL Filtering -https://dnsfilter.canny.io/feature-requests/p/transparent-url-filtering, which I know you expressed interest in as well. Would love to show you what we're thinking and get your feedback.

This Super Important Feature request has been open for almost 5 Years it would allow us to get rid of our current Geo Ip Filter which we have in place above DnsFilter and would really be a useful tool for all customers that want a strict network but need the abiltiy to quickly allow certain websites that are hosted out of the Geo Ip Filter Countries by just adding those domains to the allow list currently we need to manage all this from 2 separate interfaces !
Michel Creppy
Nachman Weiss: I totally agree. We have the feature to block countries through IP geolocation in our email firewall - this should be a standard feature in DNSFilter In the current geopolitical climate there are tens of thousands of .COM or other seemingly OK websites that can be quickly geolocated to Russia or other countries one might want to prevent one's users from accessing.
DNSLYTICS.COM, which we use to geolocate websites, can do it, it should be a piece of cake for DNSFILTER.
I believe that, in 2023, it is a major weakness of DNSfilter, not to provide blocking/allowing by IP geolocation !
